How might the public make objections to a planning application?

Planning applications have to be publicised in many different ways so that the stakeholders are informed in time and have the opportunity to share their views on the proposals.

After finding the relevant application reference that you wish to object to, objections to a planning application can occur in the following ways:

  • By writing to the Planning Department (either by post or email), quoting the application number
  • By attending the Planning Committee and informing them about your potential wish to speak and raise your concerns.
