Being a Sole Practitioner without any employees is fairly simple in terms of Employer’s obligations and Insurances, but the minute you employ someone, your obligations as an Employer are significant.

  • Employer’s Liability Insurance to cover them against accidents during work and also cover you against any claims from them.
  • Also if they will be going to meeings or site visits, you’ll need Public Liability Insurance. This covers against claims for damage to other’s property they could be caused due to your employee’s presense.
  • Motor Insurance if they are using a company vehicle to get to a location for work.
